Job summary

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Neurology – Neurophysiology and Epilepsy in the non-tenure academic clinician track. The successful candidate will lead the epilepsy program development and EEG interpretation across infant to adult patients.

Responsibilities include teaching medical students and residents in Neurology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Podiatry, with no inpatient duties.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent with ABPN board certification or eligibility.
• Texas medical license or eligible to obtain one.
• Fellowship in related areas is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach UTRGV medical students and residents (Neurology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Podiatry).
• Lead outpatient epilepsy program development and EEG interpretation across age groups.
• Collaborate with the Research Department to establish a epilepsy research center.
