Job summary

The Medical Affairs Company (TMAC) is seeking a Field-based Medical Science Liaison for the Great Lakes region (MI, MN, ND, WI). You will serve as a scientific and clinical expert for Epilepsy and Rare Syndromes, building relationships with KOLs and healthcare stakeholders to advance patient care.

Responsibilities include presenting medical information, supporting IIS studies, and collaborating with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Market Access to inform strategy and communications.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, or DPM).
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Affairs experience within the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Residence within the assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel 60-80% within the region.
• Experience in neurology, epilepsy, rare diseases, or related therapeutic areas.
• Preferred: Prior product launch experience.
• Knowledge of clinical research, clinical trials, and health economics.
• Strong scientific communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
• Strong organizational, project management, and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expertise in epilepsy and rare syndromes, including emerging clinical data, treatment guidelines, and competitive developments.
• Build and manage trusted relationships with KOLs, healthcare providers, investigators, health systems, payers, and patient advocacy organizations.
• Deliver balanced scientific and clinical information through educational discussions, presentations, and responses to medical inquiries.
• Gather and communicate actionable field insights to inform Medical Affairs strategies and scientific communications.
• Support research collaborations, including IIS, from feasibility assessment through publication.
• Represent Company at scientific congresses, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and educational programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Real-World Evidence, Market Access, and Commercial partners.
