The Division of Population Health Data (DPHD) is responsible for analytic and outreach services within the Office of Family Health Services (OFHS), including epidemiological activities regarding the collection, monitoring, analysis and interpretation of data, and program evaluation regarding programmatic data-informed decision-making and needs assessment activities. The DPHD seeks a qualified candidate to serve as the Rural Health Transformation Program Epidemiologist Mid-Level Epidemiologist. This position is responsible for evaluation and analytical activities aimed at improving maternal and infant health outcomes, reducing disparities in access to care, strengthening rural healthcare delivery systems, and advancing the goals of the Virginia Rural Health Transformation Program throughout Virginia. This position will participate in evaluation activities to assess program impact and inform continuous improvement, collaborate with external partners sites and local health departments on data sharing and analysis. This is a restricted position, which is solely funded by the Rural Health Transformation Grant for the period ending 10/30/2027. The availability of funding is scheduled for review annually thereafter. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of funds.
