Job summary

Aerodyn Engineering, LLC is seeking a dedicated Scheduler to run the Epicor Kinetic production schedule for our aerospace and defense machine shop in Indianapolis. You will know what is on every machine, what is coming next, and what will cause delays, communicating fixes to the right people in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include maintaining the schedule, routing parts efficiently, and re-planning when machines go down while ensuring accurate job releases and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in a job shop environment.
• Epicor or similar MRP/ERP experience (preferred).
• Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.
• Clear, precise written and verbal communication; every department relies on your schedule.
• Self-directed and steady under deadline pressure, comfortable working alone or on a team.
• Careful with detail, organized, and able to juggle many jobs at once.

Responsibilities

• Own the Epicor schedule daily and keep it aligned with floor activity.
• Collaborate with shop floor supervisor to track status and update delays.
• Match routers to machines, check capacity, hours, tooling and fixturing.
• Enter plans into Epicor and scheduling software and release production jobs.
• Re-plan quickly when machines fail or priorities shift.
• Quote capacity for new orders and flag resource conflicts to protect on-time delivery.
• Log recurring problems and drive fixes via continuous improvement.

Aerodyn Engineering is looking for a scheduler to run the Epicor Kinetic production schedule for our aerospace and defense machine shop. You will be the person who knows what is on every machine, what is coming next, and what will make a job late, and you will tell the right people in time to fix it.

What You'll Do

• Own the Epicor schedule every day. Keep it matching what is actually happening on the floor.


• Work with the shop floor supervisor to track part status, then update the schedule with progress, changes and delays.


• Match each job router to the best available machine, checking capacity, people, hours, tooling and fixturing so parts don’t sit waiting.


• Enter manufacturing plans into Epicor and the scheduling software, then review and release production jobs accurately.


• Re-plan quickly when a machine goes down or priorities change, using the forecasting tools available.


• Work with manufacturing leadership to quote capacity for new orders, flag resource conflicts and protect on-time delivery (OTD).


• Log recurring problems and drive them to a fix as part of continuous improvement.


• Follow company safety rules and policies, and perform other duties assigned by the management team.

What Makes You a Fit

• Previous work experience with Epicor or similar MRP/ERP software
