Description: Senior Epic Analyst

Location: Remote (Must reside in an approved state)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Department: Health IT | Reports To: Epic Team Manager

About The Role

As a Senior Epic Analyst , you will lead the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of Epic system applications, with a focus on Professional Billing Claims & Remittance . You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, Epic representatives, and operational stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient, and user-centered solutions. This role is critical in supporting the full application lifecycle—from discovery and design to deployment and adoption—while mentoring junior analysts and ensuring system integrity.

What You’ll DoSystem Design & Configuration

  • Lead full-cycle Epic application development: requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with clinical and business stakeholders to design workflows that improve efficiency and quality.
  • Configure user access and security settings to ensure compliance and usability.
  • Manage build migrations and oversee production readiness.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and execute unit, functional, and integrated testing plans.
  • Maintain and enhance testing scripts and documentation.
  • Validate system performance against design objectives.

Project & Change Management

  • Lead Epic-related projects using enterprise PMO frameworks.
  • Develop change management strategies and implementation plans.
  • Assess and mitigate impacts of system changes on users and workflows.

Support & Maintenance

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and interface issues.
  • Lead upgrade planning and execution.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating schedule.
  • Maintain system documentation and adhere to change control protocols.

Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior analysts and support onboarding of new team members.
  • Provide guidance on design, configuration, and documentation best practices.
  • Collaborate with reporting teams and operational partners to meet data needs.

What You’ll BringMinimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience designing, configuring, and maintaining Epic applications.
  • Epic Certification in Professional Billing Claims & Remittance (Required).
  • Experience in a healthcare IT environment (Preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required); Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or Healthcare (Preferred).

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Epic systems and tools.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
  • Strong understanding of clinical/business workflows and healthcare operations.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
