Job summary

Beyond Blue is seeking an Epic Security Analyst Senior to manage IAM configurations and security for Epic Systems and enterprise apps. You will troubleshoot incidents, design RBAC models, and drive improvements while mentoring junior analysts.

The role requires collaboration with IT and business stakeholders to strengthen security and ensure compliance across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in computer science, information systems, or a related area.
• Epic Security Certification within twelve months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manages complex user access requests, provisioning, and de-provisioning per IAM policies.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting and resolution of escalated Epic and enterprise application security incidents.
• Designs and implements role-based access models balancing usability, compliance and security.
• Conducts audits of security settings, controls and role assignments for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with business and IT stakeholders to assess security requirements and improvements.
• Provides technical expertise in security design for Epic and integrated applications.
• Develops and updates security documentation, workflows and knowledge resources.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing and optimizing Identity Access Management (IAM) security configurations and policies for Epic Systems and other enterprise applications. Provides advanced troubleshooting and analysis of security incidents to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Coordinates with IT teams, business stakeholders, and end users to design and maintain secure access solutions. Recommends process and system improvements to strengthen IAM practices and application security. Mentors junior analysts to support knowledge transfer and enhance team effectiveness.

Essential Functions

• Manages complex user access requests, provisioning, and de-provisioning processes in alignment with IAM policies.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting and resolution of escalated Epic and enterprise application security incidents.
• Designs and implements role-based access models to balance usability, compliance, and security.
• Conducts audits of security settings, controls, and role assignments to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.
• Collaborates with business and IT stakeholders to assess security requirements and recommend improvements.
• Provides technical expertise in security design for Epic and integrated applications.
• Develops and updates security documentation, workflows, and knowledge resources for consistent operations.
• Mentors and trains junior analysts on IAM standards, Epic security processes, and troubleshooting best practices.

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree

Experience Requirement: 5+ years of experience in computer science, information systems, or a relevant area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

Certifications & Licensures: Epic Security Certification within twelve months of hire date.
