Job Title: Epic Revenue Cycle Developer / Trainer

The Wilshire Group is a healthcare consulting firm dedicated to improving revenue cycle operations through technology, leadership, and process improvement. Our consultants are trusted partners in Epic optimization, interim leadership, education, and workflow transformation.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Epic Revenue Cycle Developer / Trainer for a remote, contract-based role (CST hours). This person will work closely with client teams to configure Epic modules, train end-users, and support long-term optimization of revenue cycle workflows. The role combines system development with training and instructional design expertise.

Typical Duties:
  • Deliver instructor-led training to end users in Epic Revenue Cycle (Resolute HB/PB, Claims, Charge Router, etc.)

  • Design, develop, and maintain technical training materials, job aids, and curricula using ISD methodologies

  • Create and maintain eLearning modules using tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate

  • Edit, splice, and enhance audio for use in self-guided training modules

  • Provide insights into usability and workflow improvements from a user perspective

  • Troubleshoot Epic system issues and support configuration enhancements

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align training with operational needs and best practices

  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to upload, manage, and track learning content

  • Conduct needs assessments and evaluate training effectiveness

  • Stay current on Epic updates and healthcare compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Education, Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare, or a related field preferred

  • OR 4+ years of directly related experience in lieu of degree

  • Epic Certification required within 1 year of hire

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of technical systems training experience with curriculum development using Instructional Systems Design (ISD)

  • 2+ years of healthcare industry experience

  • 1+ year of developing instructor-led technical training materials

  • 2+ years developing eLearning content

  • Experience in adult education required

  • Proficiency in MS Office and eLearning platforms (Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate)

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems

  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to edit and manage voiceover content

  • Certified or proficient in Epic Revenue Cycle modules highly preferred

  • Project and/or team lead experience preferred

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong presentation and public speaking ability

  • Analytical mindset and user-focused design sensibility

  • Adaptable to a variety of learning styles and technical proficiency levels

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technology and business applications

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, statistics, and technical documentation

Work Conditions & Schedule:
  • Remote position with required availability during CST hours. Some travel required (up to 50%)

  • May require occasional work on weekends, holidays, or extended hours depending on project needs

  • Standard office equipment use (PC, phone, webcam, etc.)
