Job summary
East Alabama Medical Center is seeking an Epic Pharmacy Informatics Pharmacist to lead implementation, configuration, and support of Epic pharmacy systems in a hybrid work setting in Opelika, AL.
The role requires Epic certification and an active Alabama pharmacist license with a CS permit, plus 3 years of related experience in pharmacy informatics or operations. Collaboration with IT, providers, and leadership is essential to enhance safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Three years of pharmacy operations, pharmacy informatics, healthcare information systems, or Epic application support experience.
- Epic certification must be obtained and maintained.
- Active Alabama Registered Pharmacist License and Controlled Substance Permit.
Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, optimize, maintain, test, and support Epic pharmacy applications and medication management technologies.
- Serve as the application expert for pharmacy information systems, collaborating with pharmacists, physicians, nursing, revenue cycle, IT, vendors and leadership.
- Improve medication safety, clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with stakeholders to drive project success and successful go-live activities.
