Job summary

Select Medical is seeking an Epic Business Analyst to join our team in Mechanicsburg, PA. The incumbent will work with application coordinators and serve as the primary support contact for Epic software, analyzing workflows, data, and reports while coordinating issues across Epic environments.

The role requires pharmacy background and a track record in business analysis, with training and certification opportunities provided by Epic. Travel and related expenses are covered by the employer.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in information systems, business administration, health care or related field or equivalent education and experience
• 1+ year of experience in Business Analysis and customer service skills
• Analytical thinking
• Must be a Pharmacist
• Candidate must pass sphinx EPIC

Responsibilities

• Acting as an escalation point for support of the application
• Triage and prioritize support issues that arise in their application area.
• Understanding the choices involved in application configuration.
• Performing in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.
• Investigate end users' preference while making build decisions.
• Analyzing business operations as they relate to build decisions.
• Prioritizing and implementing requested changes to the system
• Analyzing new functionality in releases to determine how it should be used.
• Populating databases during the initial system build with assistance from Epic.
• Coordinating software updates and changes.
• Reviewing and testing each new release.
• Collecting information regarding potential system enhancement needs.
• Preparing details of specifications as needed.
• Analyzing data conversion needs.Ensuring that data coming across an interface into an Epic application meets the business need.
• Serving as a liaison between end users, third parties, and Epic implementation staff.
• Troubleshooting problems and questions from end users.
