Job summary

BrickRed Systems is seeking an experienced Epic PB Analyst to bridge business needs and technical teams within complex healthcare billing environments. You will translate requirements, document processes, and support system testing and implementations across PB/HB modules.

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to optimize Epic workflows, integrations, and data flows while maintaining project governance and SDLC discipline.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience as an Epic PB Analyst / Systems Analyst / Business Analyst.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Epic PB – certification required.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Epic HB – certification required.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Claims.
  • Strong BA, requirements gathering, process documentation, and system testing skills.
  • Experience with Epic EHR implementations and integrated projects.
  • Understanding of SDLC and enterprise app environments.
  • Experience with system integrations, APIs, databases, and functional/technical requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and system requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop functional specifications, process flows, mapping documents, and system documentation.
  • Analyze Epic PB/HB workflows, claims processes, integrations, and system requirements.
  • Evaluate existing systems and recommend enhancements or optimized solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, project managers, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
  • Support system configuration, integration, implementation, and testing activities.
  • Conduct system testing, UAT, defect tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Assess business processes, IT processes, organizational changes, and technology landscapes to identify transformation opportunities.
  • Participate in business and technology consulting engagements and stakeholder workshops.
  • Provide recommendations and thought leadership related to Epic and healthcare technology solutions.
  • Support solution design, product evaluation, POCs, and reusable solution development.
  • Identify best practices, reusable assets, and opportunities for process and solution improvement.
  • Stay current with Epic product capabilities, healthcare technology trends, and industry best practices.
  • Support knowledge management, documentation, training, and knowledge-transfer activities.
  • Collaborate with product vendors and technology specialists to identify opportunities to leverage product capabilities.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Epic PB Analyst with strong expertise in Epic Professional Billing (PB) and Epic Hospital Billing (HB). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, requirements gathering, process documentation, system testing, and healthcare billing processes.

The analyst will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping translate business needs into effective technology solutions while supporting system implementation, integration, testing, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience with process consulting, business architecture, solution structuring, and technology advisory.
  • Experience creating reusable assets, solution accelerators, training materials, and technical documentation.
