Position: Epic Payer Platform Integration Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration: Contract

Responsibilities:
  • Implement, configure, and maintain Epic's Payer Platform modules to support payer workflows, requiring healthcare interoperability, Epic systems, and payer domain knowledge.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement platform enhancements.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for platform issues, working closely with end-users and IT support teams.
  • Participate in training sessions and promote best practices for Payer Platform adoption.
  • Design and maintain interfaces and health data exchange solutions, including templates, workflows, and rules.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare payer workflows, including prior authorizations, claims, and data exchange regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 5 years of healthcare IT experience, specifically with Epic Payer Platform solutions.
  • Knowledge of health data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR, CDA, API, EDI) and clinical terminologies (SNOMED, CPT, LOINC).
  • Experience with integration platforms and API gateways.
  • Hands-on experience with Epic Payer Platform modules, including clinical data exchange, member insights, and electronic authorizations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Epic certification in Payer Platform.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare payer workflows and regulatory requirements.
