Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. in Miami is expanding its Information Technology team to support the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) project. This is a pivotal role offering hands-on experience with scalable hospital IT systems and the chance to advance EPIC certifications.

You will work alongside nurses and physician leaders to implement evidence-based electronic order sets, integrate devices with EPIC, and modernize clinical workflows across departments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA/MS in an analytical field with GPA >3.0.
• Demonstrates analytical/problem solving skills.
• No IT experience required.

Responsibilities

• Address patient safety and quality initiatives while enhancing IT systems.
• Oversee the full life-cycle management of clinical applications.
• Opportunities for travel to earn EPIC Certifications.
• Learn IT clinical systems including EPIC, the EHR.
• Work with nurses and physician leaders to develop evidence-based electronic order sets.
• Device integration between biomedical equipment and EPIC for clinicians.
• Analyze and design new electronic workflows for practices using paper.
• Develop or update workflows to meet regulatory EHR incentive programs.

This is a tremendous opportunity to participate in the IT revolution that is changing health care delivery across the United States.**Opportunities:**We are continually increasing adoption and expanding the tools and features available through the use of an EHR. This year, we are focusing on areas such as revenue cycle management, system interoperability, population health management, and health analytics.
