This is a remote position.

Required Qualifications: Experience or certification in Epic Grand Central Application.

Job Summary

Expert in one or more highly specialized areas within the healthcare environment. Responsible for developing clinical and business solutions, designing and presenting options to improve patient care, engagement, operational efficiency, and financial position. Integrates organizational knowledge with thoughtful design.

Reviews, analyzes, tests, and documents Epic applications, understanding system options and configurations to guide team decisions on system utilization.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, implement, and support IT solutions to meet operational and clinical needs.
  • Provide consultation for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Understand system configurations thoroughly and lead team decisions on system utilization.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to existing systems, with detailed reports.
  • Create comprehensive system design and build documentation.
  • Collaborate with analysts, staff, vendors, and leadership.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and documentation.
  • Lead large or complex projects or initiatives.
  • Support and maintain existing functionalities and applications, including ancillary systems.
  • Coordinate system optimization or upgrade projects and provide production support.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for user groups, mentor analysts, and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Perform advanced system analysis, research vendor updates, and understand end-to-end system integration.
  • Manage new system specifications, user services, and installations.
  • Assess user areas for efficiency, evaluate solutions, and support systems support.
  • Prepare policies, procedures, manuals, and system documentation.
  • Maintain project documentation and meet with department heads to prioritize needs.
  • Work closely with users to document requirements and communicate effectively.
  • Facilitate performance improvement and support clinical and financial operations.
  • On-call coverage may be required; some travel involved.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 3 years of experience in systems analysis, programming, or design.
  • 5 years of experience supporting or implementing applications in healthcare.
  • Experience or certification in Epic Grand Central Application; Epic certification required or obtained within 4 months of employment.
  • Ongoing Epic certification maintenance required.
  • Demonstrated innovative Epic solutions and high-level technical skills.
