Job summary

Westerkamp Group, LLC is seeking a Denials Analyst in Birmingham, AL to lead a team of denial specialists and drive resolution of denied claims. The role requires deep Epic PB knowledge and strong analytical skills to optimize denial prevention and revenue capture for hospital and professional billing clients.

The successful candidate will oversee denial strategies, analyze Epic workflows, and provide actionable insights to RCm leadership. Excellent leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of direct Epic PB analysis experience.
• Epic Resolute Certification preferred.
• Strong CPT/ ICD-10/ HCPCS knowledge.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and trend common denial reasons using Epic data.
• Develop strategies to overturn denials and accelerate payment resolution.
• Serve as subject matter expert for Epic Resolute in denial management.
• Analyze Epic workflows to identify root causes of denials from system setup or user error.
• Prepare and present reports on denial trends, recovery rates, and team performance to leadership.
