Job summary

Harris Health System, Inc. seeks an Epic Clinical Systems Analyst II to ensure functional areas are represented in day‑to‑day information systems operations and to support Epic clinical applications within the Harris Health System.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems / Clinical Informatics or 4 years of IT/Healthcare experience, 2+ years IT experience with at least 1 year in a hospital setting, strong communication and analytical skills, and Epic Certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems / Clinical Informatics related field or 4 years of IT experience in a Healthcare environment.
• 2+ Years within IT; 1 year in Hospital/Health Care Organizations.
• Experience supporting an Electronic Medical Record System and understanding clinical workflows.
• Epic Certification (for at least one Epic Clinical Application) preferred

Responsibilities

• Represent operational interests of their respective functional areas in day-to-day IS operations.
• Support the Epic Clinical applications deployed within the Harris Health System.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems / Clinical Informatics related field or 4 years of related IT/Healthcare experience

The Epic Clinical Systems Analyst II ensures that the operational interests of their respective functional areas are being fully represented in the day‑to‑day operations of the Information Systems Department. This role supports the Epic Clinical applications deployed within the Harris Health System.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelors degree in an Information Systems / Clinical Informatics related field or 4 years of related IT experience in a Healthcare environment.

Work Experience:

• 2+ Years within I.T. One (1) year Hospital/Health Care Organizations.

• Other Requirements:
  • Be available to work on site (after hours) as needed
  • Experience providing hands‑on clinical patient care in hospital or clinic setting preferred.
  • Experience Supporting an Electronic Medical Record System
  • Healthcare Information Technology experience
  • Understanding of functional processes and business rules related to the applications being implemented/supported.
  • Ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously, be able to prioritize effectively, and meet overlapping deadlines
  • Understands the limitations and opportunities presented by the applications supported
