Job summary

Harris Health System in Houston is seeking an Epic Clinical Systems Analyst I to ensure that Epic clinical applications meet the operational and patient care needs across the IT department. This role supports Epic EMR deployments and collaborates with clinical and IT teams to maintain system integrity.

The candidate will participate in after-hours on-call support, with on-site requirements and strong emphasis on healthcare IT experience and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems / Clinical Informatics or 4 years of related IT/Healthcare experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience supporting an Electronic Medical Record System.
• Healthcare Information Technology experience.
• Understanding of functional processes and business rules related to the applications being implemented/supported.

Responsibilities

• Represent the operational interests of their respective functional areas in day-to-day IT operations.
• Support Epic Clinical applications deployed within the Harris Health System.

Epic Clinical Systems Analyst I

ensures that the operational interests of their respective functional areas are being fully represented in the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology Department. This role supports the Epic Clinical applications deployed within the Harris Health System.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor's degree in an Information Systems / Clinical Informatics related field or 4 years of related IT experience in a Healthcare environment.

• Be available to work on site (after hours) as scheduled
• Experience providing hands-on clinical patient care in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
• Experience supporting an Electronic Medical Record System.
• Healthcare Information Technology experience.
• Understanding of functional processes and business rules related to the applications being implemented/supported.
