Responsibilities

• The Epic Client System Administrator supports, configures, and maintains Epic Client Systems to ensure reliable access to Epic applications across clinical and operational environments.
• Installs, configures, and maintains Epic components including Hyperspace, Interconnect, EPS, Web BLOB, MyChart, CareLink, Rover, and Haiku.
• Troubleshoots system issues, performance problems, and integration failures.
• Participates in cloud migration tasks including endpoint updates, IRIS reinstall support, Kuiper, and System Pulse operations.

Position Summary
The Epic Client System Administrator supports, configures, and maintains Epic Client Systems to ensure reliable access to Epic applications across clinical and operational environments.
Major Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, and maintains Epic components including Hyperspace, Interconnect, EPS, Web BLOB, MyChart, CareLink, Rover, and Haiku.
• Supports daily operations of Epic client systems and web/service servers.
• Troubleshoots system issues, performance problems, and integration failures.
• Participates in cloud migration tasks including endpoint updates, IRIS reinstall support, Kuiper, and System Pulse operations.
• Collaborates with technical leads, application teams, and infrastructure teams.

Position Qualifications

Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Epic Certifications: Hyperspace Deployment, Web/Service Servers (Hyperspace Web, MyChart, Interconnect, Web BLOB, BCA, EPS).

Preferred (Training and Certifications):
Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) certification
Epic Kuiper and System Pulse training
Epic IRIS infrastructure training

Microsoft Ecosystem
Microsoft 365 Administrator Certification (MS-102)
Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140)
Microsoft Endpoint Administrator (MD-102)

Experience/Skills
Required:
Minimum 2+ years in Healthcare IT in an Epic Client Systems role.
Technical expertise in Windows Server, Epic client distribution tools, and web/service servers.
Advanced troubleshooting skills for Epic client systems and Windows Server environments.
Proficiency with scripting (PowerShell) for automation and system management.
Strong understanding of Azure, virtual infrastructure, and cloud-hosted workflows.
Ability to manage client distribution tools and web/service server architecture.
Experience supporting clinical and operational teams in a healthcare environment.
Effective communication, collaboration, and documentation skills for procedures, configurations, and operational playbooks.
Adaptability in fast-paced healthcare and cloud-migration environments.

Preferred
Experience with Citrix VDI, Cisco UCS, Azure, and Layer 2/3 networking.
