Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a Senior BI Developer to design, develop and implement analytics tools and data solutions for clinical, financial and operational users.

The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is an experienced data professional who designs, develops and implements analytics tools and data solutions. This individual comprehensively understands business data needs, gathers requirements, analyzes data and develops robust analytics solutions for advanced projects, self-service analytics and business user consumption. The Senior BI Developer interfaces with clinical, financial and operational business leaders, subject matter experts as well as Information Services applications teams to design reports, dashboards and analytics that accurately reflect business workflows and drive action. The Senior BI Developer plans, designs, architects, develops, tests and implements new BI solutions as well as troubleshoots, monitors and maintains existing BI solutions. Expertise writing relational and multidimensional database queries that meet performance objectives and business use cases. Expertise with data warehousing design and development methodologies. Strong experience with leading healthcare technology systems such as EMR (Epic), Claims processing (Epic), ERP (Workday), CRM, cloud based data platforms (Azure, Snowflake) etc. Will be seen as a leader and mentor less experienced BI Developers. This person is a key contributor on complex projects and may act as an informal project manager as needed. The individual identifies process improvement opportunities and writes recommendations, process documentation and best practices in a clear, concise manner.
Responsibilities include designing, developing and implementing BI solutions; building reports, dashboards and analytics; gathering requirements from clinical, financial and operational stakeholders; ensuring solutions reflect business workflows; leading and mentoring junior BI developers; participating in project management as needed; identifying process improvements and documenting best practices; supporting existing BI solutions and troubleshooting issues.
