Job summary

Factspan is seeking an experienced Epic BI Consultant to support a large healthcare transformation migrating from Cerner to Epic. The role focuses on data continuity, reporting accuracy, and insights, leveraging Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, Radar, and Snowflake.

You will lead BI workstreams, map Cerner reports to Epic equivalents, collaborate with clinical and IT teams, validate data, and mentor junior analysts while supporting UAT and go-live activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with healthcare systems.
• Experience with Epic BI tools (Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, Radar).
• Cerner to Epic migration experience preferred.
• Strong SQL and Snowflake data warehousing.
• Experience with ETL and data modeling.
• Healthcare data domains understanding.
• Experience with large hospital systems.
• Familiarity with HL7/FHIR is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Epic BI Consultant to support a large-scale healthcare transformation initiative involving migration from Cerner to Epic. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in healthcare data systems, business intelligence, and reporting, with a strong understanding of Epic s data model and reporting tools. This role will play a critical part in ensuring data continuity, reporting accuracy, and actionable insights during and after the migration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead BI and reporting workstreams during Cerner to Epic migration.
• Analyze existing Cerner reports, dashboards, and data structures; map them to Epic equivalents.
• Design, develop, and optimize reports using Epic tools such as:
• Cogito
• Clarity
• Experience with Snowflake as Data Source
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, validation, and reconciliation between Cerner and Epic systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with significant exposure to healthcare systems.
• Proven experience in Epic BI tools (Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, Radar).
• Prior involvement in at least one full-cycle Cerner to Epic migration (preferred).
• Strong SQL and data warehousing(Snowflake) expertise.
• Experience with ETL processes and data modeling.
• Deep understanding of healthcare data domains (clinical, financial, operational).
• Experience working with large hospital systems or healthcare enterprises
• Familiarity with interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR is a plus).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Epic Certification(s) in Cogito / Clarity / Caboodle.
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) is an advantage.
