Job summary

INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma seeks an experienced Epic Application Analyst Level 3 to implement, maintain and support clinical applications across the health system. You will collaborate with clinicians, IT staff and vendors to optimize usability, efficiency and patient care through EHR, CDS and other Epic modules.

You will lead configuration, testing, documentation and cross-functional collaboration, while guiding a team and managing small to medium IT projects within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience, or Associate’s with 5 years of experience, or 7 years of healthcare or IT experience.
  • Epic Certification is required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Experience communicating to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows and implementing clinical software.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the team of clinical application analysts in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of clinical applications, including EHR and CDS.
  • Collaborate with clinical end-users, IT staff, and vendors to identify opportunities for improving clinical workflows using technology.
  • Lead system testing and validation to ensure the clinical applications meet regulatory requirements and user needs.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues with clinical applications and provide timely resolution to minimize impact on patient care.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Work with leaders to implement and align strategic IT initiatives.
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC including use cases and evaluation of software solutions.
  • Lead and facilitate the facility’s core clinical and business systems team on IT activities.

The Epic Application Analyst Level 3 will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, and support of clinical applications used within the healthcare organization. This role will work closely with clinical end-users, IT staff, and vendors to ensure the clinical applications are optimized for usability and efficiency and meet the needs of clinicians and patients.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the team of clinical application analysts in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of clinical applications, including electronic health records (EHR), clinical decision support systems, and other clinical software.
  • Collaborate with clinical end-users, IT staff, and vendors to identify opportunities for improving clinical workflows and processes using technology.
  • Leads system testing and validation to ensure the clinical applications meet regulatory requirements and user needs.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues with clinical applications, and provide timely resolution to minimize impact on patient care and clinician productivity.
  • Maintains awareness of upcoming development, offerings, and solutions in the EHR System or other clinical application.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Ensure documentation is accessible to support staff and end-users.
  • Works collaboratively with operational and medical staff leaders to implement and align strategic initiatives.
  • Participates in all phases of the system development life cycle including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions.
  • Leads and facilitates the facility’s core clinical and business systems team on IT activities.
  • Prioritizes based on understanding strategies, budget, epic, requirements, goals, and the value that project and tasks provide the business.
  • Facilitation and mentor of other team members.
  • Organizes and provides project management functions for small and medium project initiatives.
  • Mentor other team member in round in collaboration with clinical and business end users.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience, or Associate’s with 5 years of experience, or 7 years of healthcare or IT experience.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology.
  • Epic Certification is required (certifications may include: EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Radiant, Cupid, Optime, Anesthesia, Grand Central or other relevant Epic Apps).
  • Occasional travel maybe required.
  • Previous experience using verbal and written communication to a variety of audiences through a range of modalities.
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows and processes, and experience in implementing and supporting clinical software applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to clinical staff members and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management and change management in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing preferred.
