Job summary

Willow is seeking an Epic Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. The role focuses on analysis, build, implementation, support, and maintenance of Willow/Epic applications, coordinating with vendors, customers, and internal staff to align workflows with organizational needs.

You will develop and document standard build procedures, create test scripts, and produce reports and dashboards to support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with EHR systems in a healthcare setting.
  • Epic Willow certification is required.
  • Associate's degree is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Epic Analyst | Willow

Salary Range: Min $95,439.68; Mid $119,299.59; Max $143,159.51

Summary

The Epic Analyst is responsible for providing analysis, build, implementation, support, maintenance, development and coordination of activities of assigned applications and acts as a liaison between vendors, teams, customers and technical staff. Should be knowledgeable about policies, procedures, and operations in a healthcare setting. Participates in regular day-to-day communication with other project teams and works with vendors and community based Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure the application build will fit the organization's and community integration needs. Participates in the development of workflows, data collection and analysis, reporting, and other technical issues associated with the use of the application software. Participates in developing and documenting the standard build procedures that will be used in conjunction with other vendor applications.

Responsibilities
  • Participates in analysis, build, testing, documentation and implementation of optimization or projects related to informatics. Interact, plan and schedule activities with customers to determine information needs and objectives; assess current state of workflows and application configurations; identify and document end user needs and requirements; build and test application software to meet identified needs and requirements; assure a consistent approach is followed throughout the project.
  • Project plan development, maintenance, and adherence to expectations and cost constraints; liaison and effective interaction within and across departments, technical staff and/or vendors in defining and meeting project objectives; assure the timelines for the project objectives are realistic and within allocated time; monitor and report progress via ongoing maintenance of the project plan; provide formal status reports as appropriate; and escalated issues.
  • Ensure timely completion of routine maintenance for assigned applications; coordinate application and interface maintenance development, troubleshooting, and testing activities; facilitate enhancement requests; serve as day‑to‑day vendor contact for ongoing maintenance/outage issues.
  • Ensure smooth transition from build to test to production environments; follow change control policies and procedures; create, update and provide test scripts for software build and workflow changes; maintain documentation of workflow and software changes; communicate upcoming changes to all affected analysts and testing personnel.
  • Ensure workflow and software changes are clearly communicated with trainers and end users; confirm production and master training environment content is consistent; collaborate with trainers to utilize, create, update and provide tips & tricks documents; communicate upcoming workflow changes via standard work, intranet, etc.
  • Demonstrate problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills; document, track, and follow‑up on incidents; facilitate issue resolution with end users and vendors; evaluate and submit enhancement and system change requests; monitor ticket metrics.
  • Interact with customers at all levels to determine reporting, dashboard and data extract/exchange needs; plan and schedule activities; develop and maintain reports, dashboards and data extracts for assigned applications; ensure consistent approach.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Epic Certification required in Willow
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Healthcare setting with EHR systems in an analytical or implementation role required
