Job summary

Aggreko is seeking an EPC Manager based in Houston, TX, to lead end-to-end delivery of behind-the-meter generation projects, including procurement, engineering oversight, subcontractor management, installation and commissioning.

You will drive project governance, set priorities, and coordinate with internal teams and top EPC partners. This role requires 12+ years in utility-scale power projects, onsite construction experience, and strong negotiation skills. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, energy management, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of utility-scale power generation project experience (100MW+), including at least 2 years onsite construction and commissioning.
  • Experience negotiating EPC and subcontractor agreements.
  • Established relationships with leading utility construction & EPC partners.
  • Proven track record leading multi-discipline engineering teams on power projects.
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholders including suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Serve as senior relationship steward across development, legal, engineering, operations, finance, supply chain and key suppliers.

Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as EPC Manager based in Houston, TX. You’ll lead onsite generation projects, ensuring our suppliers and subcontracts effectively plan and execute projects within budget and schedule constraints, Projects may include gas turbines, BESS and, or other technologies.

What you’ll do as EPC Manager:
  • Provide leadership for the end-to-end delivery of behind the meter generation construction, including major equipment procurement, engineering oversight, subcontractor management, installation and successful commissioning across assigned projects.
  • Drive structured project governance, leading high-impact project reviews and setting clear expectations, priorities, and corrective actions for teams and external partners.
  • Contribute to the development and scaling of a high-performing onsite generation project management organization, building capabilities, defining standards, and ensuring consistent execution as the program expands.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with top-tier EPC firms and subcontractors (civil, structural and electrical), position Aggreko for long-term partnership value, execution excellence, & capacity growth.
  • Help with commercial negotiations for EPC agreements, securing terms and conditions that drive mutual value, protect Aggreko risk positions, and support overall program scalability.
  • Serve as a senior relationship steward across internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with development, legal, engineering, operations, finance, supply chain, and key suppliers and contractors.
You are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, energy management, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 12+ years’ experience working on utility scale power generation projects (100MW+), including at least two years of onsite construction experience, with commissioning experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate EPC agreements, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Established relationships with leading utility construction & EPC partners.
  • A proven track record of managing a team of multi-discipline engineers to complete successful power generation projects.
  • Ability to command a room of equipment supply professionals, contractors, third party vendors and/or Project Managers and engineers.
  • Understanding of typical schedules for power generation projects, including construction schedules.
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time or as needed to support relationship-building and delivery of projects.
