EPC Construction Manager (Distributed Energy Resources / Electrical / MV / Switchgear)

The primary duties of the Construction Manager are to ensure the installation of the DI equipment is completed safely, on time, on budget, and within the specifications of the project. The Construction Manager will represent PowerSecure at the project site level, oversee all construction activities, be present for all equipment deliveries, manage subcontractors and internal resources, and interface with the customer, utility, and local AHJs.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience in construction or energy industries preferred.
• Experience using MS Project is a plus.
• Proficient in reading and communicating in English.
• Proficient with computer and standard office software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Punctual, organized, and professional.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with General Contractors, subcontractors, customers, utilities, and AHJs.
• Knowledge of construction management and processes.
• Ability to prioritize tasks with urgency while maintaining high quality and customer service.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Subcontractors and Internal Resources

Essential Functions

• Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and legal requirements.
• Coordinate and lead daily safety briefs with contractors and employees.
• Lead project meetings with stakeholders including customers, utilities, and subcontractors.
• Understand all aspects of the project and manage installation effectively.
• Ensure project sites are tidy and follow housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate with relevant parties for timely project execution.
• Communicate effectively with Senior Staff to ensure safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Work in various positions, including low to the ground or on ladders.
• Travel required (70%+); willing to drive or fly as needed.
• Stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time.
• Exposure to weather, noise, energized electrical equipment, overhead hazards, and heavy machinery.
