Job summary

Faith Technologies, Inc. is seeking an EPC Assistant Project Manager (PE - Mech) to support mechanical systems on hyperscale data center projects under the FTI / Excellerate delivery model.

The role emphasizes coordination, documentation, and technical support for complex cooling systems, prefabricated assemblies, and infrastructure, ensuring safe, high-quality, on-schedule delivery. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field and 2+ years of construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of construction or engineering experience, preferably with mechanical systems.
• Experience on mission-critical or data center projects; familiarity with HVAC/piping.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with site leadership and project controls to track progress.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and logs.
• Monitor installation progress and identify risks to schedule and quality.
• Support prefabrication tracking and delivery coordination.
• Assist with commissioning readiness and turnover activities.

This role focuses on coordination, documentation, and technical support for complex cooling systems, prefabricated assemblies, and failure-domain-based infrastructure, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-schedule project delivery.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience: 2+ years of construction or engineering experience, ideally with a focus on mechanical systems. Experience working on mission-critical or data center projects is preferred, along with a foundational understanding of HVAC and piping systems and familiarity with construction coordination processes.Travel: 20%Work Schedule: This position works Monday through Friday.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProject Coordination & Execution SupportSupport Mechanical Project Manager and site leadership in day-to-day execution of mechanical scopeCoordinate with superintendents, trade partners and project controls to track progress and resolve issuesAssist in development and tracking of detailed work plans, schedules and resource needsMonitor installation progress and identify risks impacting schedule, cost and qualityRFI, Submittals & Document ControlPrepare, track, and manage RFIs to resolve design and field issuesCoordinate and review mechanical submittals, shop drawings, and equipment data to ensure compliance with project requirementsMaintain submittal logs and ensure processing aligned with installation schedulesSupport change management processes tied to schedule, RFIs and design updatesMechanical Systems CoordinationSupport installation and coordination of:MES & TWMUsFSHAC & MSA Piping interconnectionsMechanical system interfacesAssist with ensuring systems are installed per Takt team requirements and timingCoordinate with controls teams for system integration and commissioning readinessPrefabrication & Material ManagementSupport coordination of Excellerate prefabrication scope, including fabrication tracking, delivery, and site integrationAssist in tracking of mechanical equipment and materialsMaintain delivery paperwork, inspection reports and invoicing of mechanical MOFE equipmentField Support & Quality AssuranceSupport field teams in resolving technical issues, design clarifications, and installation challengesParticipate in site walks, inspections, and quality verification effortsAssist with tracking punch list items and ensuring closure prior to turnoverHelp ensure installations meet design specifications and quality standardsSchedule, Reporting & CommunicationAssist with updating and maintaining project schedules and progress reportsParticipate in coordination meetings and communicate issues, risks, and progress updatesMaintain clear communication between field teams, design teams, and project leadershipSafety & CompliancePromote and enforce a strong safety culture across all mechanical activitiesEnsure compliance with company policies, site safety plans, and regulatory requirementsSupport implementation of project-specific safety plans and proceduresMonitor field activities and report safety concernsCommissioning & Turnover SupportAssist with system startup, testing, and commissioning activitiesSupport documentation, as-builts, and turnover packagesCORE COMPETENCIESStrong organization and attention to detail (RFI, submittal, and tracking focus)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication across field and engineering teamsProblem-solving mindset with willingness to learn complex systemsFamiliarity with document control and coordination platforms (ACC, Procore, etc.)Performs other related duties as required and assigned.The job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
