Job summary

Trinity Health Corp. in Fort Lauderdale seeks an experienced Interventional Lab Support Specialist to assist across cardiac catheterization and related procedures. You will ensure smooth patient flow, collaborate with the Heart & Vascular Center team, and cross-train as scrub in multiple areas.

You will help standardize supply-chain processes, participate in PI and audit activities, and respond on-site within 30 minutes when on-call. High School Diploma and required certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiovascular lab procedure experience.
• Current RCIS/RCES/ARRT CV, CI or VI certification is required or preferred.
• BLS & ACLS certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Participates as procedure assistant in interventional procedures.
• Ensures smooth operation and patient flow daily in the Heart & Vascular Center.
• Cross-trains as scrub in multiple areas (3+ by goal).
• Aims to reduce operational expenses via standardized supply-chain.
• Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
• Regularly collects data for quality improvement and audit initiatives.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description:

• Participates as procedure assist in multiple areas of interventional procedures;
• Takes responsibility for smooth operation and patient flow on a daily basis, works collaboratively with peer interventional staff throughout the Heart & Vascular Center;
• Cross-train as scrub person in cardiac catheterization, structural heart procedures, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, or interventional neuroradiology (goal of 3 or more areas);
• Actively seeks ways to reduce operational expenses via standardizing supply-chain throughout all interventional suites;
• Performs other job-related duties and projects as requested;
• Regularly participates in gathering data for PI and audit initiatives;

• Licensure Level I: Florida Licensed Radiologic Technologist/ARRT-R or Graduate of RCIS or RCES program; Level II: Holds certification in RCIS, RCES or ARRT CV, CI or VI plus >2 years of experience;
• Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2 years recent experience performing all aspects of cardiovascular lab procedures preferred Have current RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), RCES, ARRT, or CVT American Heart Association health care provider BLS & ACLS Certification Able to respond on-site within 30 minutes when participating in the on-call rotation.
