Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking an EP Lab Charge RN to oversee patient care in adult cardiology, electrophysiology and vascular labs. The role requires 1 year EP and 1 year Charge experience, a current RN license, ACLS and BLS, and is full-time days with a 4/10 schedule and rotating call.

Relocation assistance and a $15,000 sign-on bonus are available for eligible external candidates.

Qualifications

• RN license with ACLS and BLS.
• Must reside within 30 minutes call radius and be eligible for relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care delivery in EP Lab.

• Educate stakeholders and collaborate with proceduralists and anesthesia providers.
• Participate in governance, ongoing education and community service.

Position: EP Lab Charge RN

• Patient Population: Adult Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Vascular patients
• Status: Full Time Days
• Shift: 4/10 Hour Days (7a - 5:30p)
• Call Requirements: Rotating call schedule with an average of 4-6 days per month. Must be within 30min call radius.
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of EP experience AND 1 year of Charge experience
• Number of Beds: 10 total invasive cardiology labs, including 4 electrophysiology labs.
• Patient Ratios: Cath/EP teamcomprisedof RN’s and Techs working in 3-4 person teams to manage procedural patient care, collaborating with the proceduralist and anesthesia providers.

Job Summary

The Catheter Lab RN Charge manages patient care delivery. This includes supervising, evaluating, and customizing care plans. The Charge Nurse is accountable for patient care. The nurse ensures safety, delegates tasks, and accepts responsibilities willingly.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of EP experience AND 1 year of Charge experience
• A Registered Nurse (RN)
• Must also have certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). If not certified yet, acquire these within (30) thirty days of employment.
