Job summary

Eden Prairie Public Schools seeks an EP Online Paraprofessional to support students daily in a classroom setting. This on-site role in Eden Prairie runs 8:30 AM–2:00 PM, 178 days per year, at $20.20 per hour.

The paraprofessional will supervise students, communicate effectively with students and staff, and make quick, sound decisions to aid learning. Position requires a two-year degree or 60 credits toward a degree, or passing the ParaPro test; CPR and First Aid are desirable.

Qualifications

• Two year degree or 60 credits toward a degree or ParaPro test.
• CPR certification and First Aid training desired.
• One year of supervisory experience with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and adults.
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions independently.
• Ability to supervise students in a positive manner.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED

• Two year degree or higher, 60 credits toward a degree, or obtain a passing score on the MN approved assessment ParaPro test, which measures math and reading skills.
• CPR certification and First Aid training desired.
• One year experience working with children in a supervisory capacity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and adults.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions quickly and work independently.
• Ability to supervise students in a positive manner.
