Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals seeks a part-time Electrophysiology/Lab Tech to support diagnostic and interventional EP procedures. You will assist with supply, equipment operation, monitoring and imaging, ensuring a sterile field and proper catheter/device handling.

Responsibilities include hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, scrubbing for EP procedures, contrast administration, accurate documentation, and coordinating schedules.

Qualifications

• Certification as RCIS/RCES/ARRT or 3 years Cath Lab/EP experience
• CVT Tech
• Allied Health Degree
• Current BLS certification (AHA/Red Cross)
• ACLS within 1 year of hire

• Coordinate procedure scheduling as assigned.
• Assist with inventory control as directed by supervisor/manager.

Job Summary and Qualifications

** * This is a Part-Time Days position. Hours are typically 6:30am - 5 pm. No set days but must be able to pick up a minimum of (2) 10/hr. shifts. NO CALL required for this position *

As an Electrophysiology/EP Lab Tech, you will identify steps in established procedures to provide technical assistance for selected diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures, which include supply, equipment operation, monitoring, imaging and use of medical devices.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Use hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, including interpretation of data.




• Scrub assist for all diagnostic and electrophysiology procedures including preparation of supplies and instruments, preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, preparation and manipulation of cardiac catheters, guide-wires and devices




• Injection of contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician




• Documentation of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy.




• Assist to coordinate procedure schedule as assigned




• Assist with inventory control as directed by the supervisor / manager




• Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization




• Other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or 3 years of Cath Lab or EP experience




• CVT Tech




• Allied Health Degree




• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross




• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross required within 1 year of hire date or transfer into position
