Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab – Evening shift. You will support physicians and help deliver a full range of cardiac diagnostics in a fast-paced EP environment at NYP Brooklyn Methodist.

The role requires CST certification, completion of accredited program, BCLS, and at least one year of experience. On-site only; candidates should live within commutable distance to NYP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required
• Completed an accredited Surgical Technician Program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technologists or NBSTSA
• Minimum of one year experience as a Certified Surgical Technician
• New Graduates will be considered based on required CST Certification and Academic performance
• Knowledge of surgical supplies, instruments, machines and equipment used in and related to the Operating Room
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide crucial support to physicians in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab to enable a full range of cardiac care services
• Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of patient care and safety
• Assist with EP studies and related diagnostic tests as part of the EP team
