Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Nurse Technician for the Emergency Department on the full-time evening shift (3:30 PM–Midnight) in Brooklyn. You will support registered nurses by performing select patient-care tasks, provide compassionate attention, and help maintain a safe, clean environment in a fast-paced setting.

Required is a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician program, with current BCLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or related Nursing Assistant, EKG, or Phlebotomy Program with documentation of completion.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
• Minimum of one year of Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician/Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient-focused care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Perform select care duties to support the nursing team.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
