Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is seeking an EP Ablation Specialist to support complex ablation procedures and mapping. The role involves scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during procedures and providing expertise in EP data interpretation and mapping techniques.

The candidate should have a minimum of five years' full-time experience in diagnostic and interventional EP, with RCES or IBHRE certification and BLS/ACLS in time for hire.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience (2 years).
  • Graduate of a CVT or EPT program.
  • Minimum three (3) years full-time work experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology.
  • Current RCES certification required or must obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire OR IBHRE certification.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required within three (3) months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the performance of complex ablation procedures and interpret EP data and intracardiac measurements.
  • Function as 1st assistant during ablation procedures and device implants (pacemakers and ICDs).
  • Scrub, circulate and monitor/record during EP procedures.
  • Act as a resource to staff regarding ablative and mapping procedures.
  • Maintain minimum five years full-time experience in diagnostic and interventional EP.
