Job summary
CNPC USA is seeking a Sr. Reservoir Engineer - EOR to lead CO2-EOR, chemical EOR, and CCUS projects. You will design experiments, pilots, and full-field plans, monitor performance, and optimize recovery using state-of-the-art reservoir simulation tools.
You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, communicate findings through reports and presentations, and travel domestically/internationally as needed. A strong background in EOR and CCUS is required.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Reservoir Engineering experience with EOR/CCUS.
- Experience with conventional and unconventional reservoirs preferred.
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 60 days per year.
Responsibilities
- Manage ongoing EOR projects and identify new opportunities.
- Develop pilot and full-field EOR plans including chemical/gas/thermal methods.
- Run advanced reservoir simulations to optimize recovery.
- Lead R&D of EOR chemicals and lab testing protocols.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate data into models.
- Provide technical oversight and communicate results to stakeholders.
