Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled engineer to design and integrate radar and EO/IR systems in a Navy-focused environment. You will drive the SETR process, translate mission requirements into improvements, and collaborate with teams and OEMs to upgrade performance and ease of integration.

The role demands experience with EO/IR platforms, strong systems thinking, and ability to contribute to warfighter capability enhancements. Secret clearance is required or eligible, with advanced degrees preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in EO/IR systems.
• Knowledge of systems integration challenges.
• Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations to enhance warfighter capabilities.
• Secret clearance (or eligibility).
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific field.
• Nice to have: experience with Navy EO/IR systems.
• Nice to have: SETR process experience.
• Nice to have: knowledge of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting.
• Nice to have: knowledge of system targeting algorithms and test techniques.
• Nice to have: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate radar systems.
• Manage the acquisition SETR process in support of EO/IR systems.
• Transform Mission Systems requirements to improve EO/IR performance.
• Collaborate with OEMs to develop and integrate upgrades.
• Assist in augmenting designs and algorithms to improve system performance.
