Job summary

AB Enzymes, a subsidiary of Associated British Foods, invites applications for Scientist Enzyme Technology (m/f/d) on a 12-month fixed term contract in Germany. You will join an exciting international R&D and business environment, working with cutting-edge technologies and a broad portfolio of enzyme projects.

The role focuses on bench-scientist level enzyme characterization, developing assays, and collaborating with Germany and Finland teams.

Qualifications

A scientific education and degree (Bachelor or Master) or multiple years of working experience.
Experience with high-throughput screening and using automated and complex equipment is a plus.
A good understanding of enzymes in industrial applications is a plus.
Hands-on attitude with drive for results; team player.
Desire to learn and develop new skills; flexible for enzymes applications.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); German and Finnish a plus.

Responsibilities

Join our team of dedicated experts and determine protein structure-function relationships with focus on application performance.
Biochemically characterize a large variety of enzymes using diverse analytical techniques.
Develop new enzymatic assays from application-relevant to high-throughput screening.
Work in project teams and take ownership of your planned work.
Document, report and present your experimental results.
Collaborate interdisciplinary within the Protein Chemistry Germany team and global R&D and applications teams in Germany and Finland.
