Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Envista Senior Data Architect is a key member of the enterprise data and analytics (D&A) team. This role involves working with D&A analysts to translate functional requirements into data and analytics products. You will be involved in modernizing data architecture, guiding the team, and performing hands-on coding.

This position includes building and supporting cloud data pipelines, migrating data from On-Prem to Cloud, and ensuring data quality and model strategy. The team supports over 3,000 users globally with BI tools, a data warehouse, and a master data management system.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Architect complex data solutions in Azure and Snowflake cloud environments.
2. Guide migration from On-Premises databases to cloud platforms.
3. Maintain cloud components and drive data quality initiatives.
4. Create data ecosystems, catalogs, and enable self-service data exploration.
5. Automate deployment processes with CI/CD practices.
6. Build and transform data pipelines for business analytics.
7. Test data pipelines and perform data integration at scale.
8. Review code and collaborate with analysts to meet business needs.
9. Document architecture and work with stakeholders on data requirements.
10. Design for future growth including warehousing and analytics.
11. Participate in testing, governance, and training activities.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering with 12+ years of experience or Master’s with 8+ years in data engineering.
2. At least 4 years of experience with Azure and Snowflake cloud platforms.
3. Hands-on data modeling experience (Kimball, Inmon).
4. Experience across all phases of data analytics development.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Strong SQL and Python skills.
2. Performance tuning for large datasets.
3. Experience with Agile methodologies, Azure Data Factory, and data transformation tools.
4. Knowledge of MDM tools like Profisee is a plus.
5. Team player with mentoring skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
