Job summary

Ace Hardware Home Services, Inc. in New Jersey, is seeking an experienced residential plumber to service customers, diagnose issues, and install plumbing and water treatment systems, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

You will lead field work, handle estimates, maintain your truck, and work flexible hours, including late shifts when required. A valid driver’s license and 2+ years of residential plumbing are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of residential plumbing experience.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Ability to read and interpret plumbing plans and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Service customers with customized plumbing solutions.
• Lead as a plumbing field expert to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide plumbing and water treatment system solutions.
• Follow up on estimates to convert into sales.
• Diagnose leaks, clogs, no hot water, low water pressure.
• Repair or replace pipes, fixtures, water heaters, sump pumps, disposals, drain lines, valves.
• Highlight warranties, service quality, and financing options.
• Install water treatment systems and gas piping.
• Maintain an organized, stocked company truck.

$20.00 to $28.00 per hour + bonus opportunities!

What You’ll Do:

• Service new and existing customers to provide a customized solution to fix the issue at hand.
• Serve as a leader in the plumbing field to ensure customer satisfaction
• Provide customers with solutions for their Plumbing and Water Treatment systems
• Follow-up with existing estimates to offer any additional information as needed to convert them into sales
• Diagnosing; leaks, drain clogs, no water, no hot water, low water pressure, etc.
• Repairing/replacing broken pipes, faucets, water heaters, sump pumps, disposals, drain lines, shower valves, etc
• Emphasize benefits such as warranties, years in business, quality of service, and financing options
• Installing water treatment systems, gas piping, etc.
• Maintain an orderly, clean, and fully stocked company truck.

What You Need To Succeed:

• An experienced plumber with at least 2 years experience in residential service
• A positive attitude with a willingness to treat our customers with the utmost respect.
• A deep understanding of plumbing equipment
• Enthusiasm to learn and grow
• The ability to express the utmost respect with the time in our client's home
• A valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of US driving experience is required for this role
• Ability to work late when the job at hand requires it
