Job summary

KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN seeks an Environmental Field Technician (XRF Sampler) to perform field sampling, screening readings, data collection, and project support on environmental and industrial sites.

You will operate XRF instruments, document results, and ensure work is conducted safely in accordance with procedures and standards. The role requires field mobility, ability to work outdoors in various conditions, and adherence to PPE protocols, with potential travel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related environmental field experience and/or additional education preferred.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Collection of samples from environmental media, including soil, water, groundwater, and waste.
• Completion of field sampling and analysis.
• Use of XRF instruments in the field, including setup, operation, screening, and care.
• Preparation of complete and accurate field documentation, notes, logs, and project records.
• Equipment maintenance.
• Remedial system installation and field support activities.
• Work on contaminated sites around hazardous wastes and chemicals; follow PPE requirements.
• Support additional field and project-related duties as assigned.
