Job summary

Amazon CF (Customer Fulfillment) facility seeks a Waste Management Specialist to coordinate waste characterization, inspections, and disposal activities. You will work with Operations, Facilities & Engineering, and EHS teams to ensure compliance, safety, and efficiency in waste handling.

You will support monthly waste analyses, incident investigations, and coordination with external disposal providers, contributing to continuous site improvements and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Advanced German language skills (written and spoken).
• MS Office experience (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Technical understanding of waste management processes.
• Experience with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Characterize waste including storage, separation, packaging, labeling, and preparation for collection per regulations.
• Conduct environmental inspections to support continuous improvement across waste points and tools.
• Prepare monthly waste analyses to track volumes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor environmental incidents and assist in investigations with the Environmental Manager.
• Maintain waste storage areas and safety equipment such as eyewash stations and fire extinguishers.
• Coordinate all waste collections and act as main contact for disposal company; manage logs and documents.
• Research trends, inventory losses, and cost-reduction measures where applicable.
