Job summary

KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver for the Old American Zinc (OAZ) remediation project in Fairmont City, Illinois.

This role operates articulating dump trucks, water trucks and other heavy equipment safely on-road and off-road while providing general site support. Duties include loading, hauling, backing, dumping, pumping and spraying loads, planning efficient truck operations and following all safety protocols and site orientations.

Qualifications

Five years of articulating truck operating experience, including two years in environmental construction.
Knowledge of safe loading, backing and dumping and terrain adaptation.
Understanding of environmental remediation and construction methods, hazards and safety precautions.
Ability to read construction specs/blueprints and use GPS and laser-guided indicators.
Ability to perform job-related arithmetic and complete written documentation.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Safely load, haul, back, dump, pump and spray using trucks of various sizes and weights, including on slopes, rough terrain and active work sites.
Plan efficient truck operations within equipment capabilities and site conditions to support daily production.
Follow company and OSHA safety procedures, site orientations and daily protocols; report hazards promptly to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Director or HR Manager.
Inspect, clean and perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment; report defects and needed repairs.
Assist with traffic-control devices and flagging, follow flagger directions, and provide laborer or technician support as assigned.
