Job summary

Nexusenergyservices is seeking a versatile technician to perform compliance testing and inspections at fueling locations. You will follow safety protocols, use hand tools, operate tablets and ticketing systems, and complete required paperwork promptly.

The role requires a mechanical background, ability to lift 10–50 lbs, climb ladders, and work independently while coordinating with a team. Industrial/site experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with experience using hand tools.
• Experience in trades or industrial/commercial settings.
• Able to lift 10–50 lbs and perform frequent bending, kneeling, and standing.
• Capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment.
• Strong independent worker with good communication.
• Proficient with tablets, smartphones, and computer-based documentation.
• Ability to learn and use ticketing systems.

Job description

Responsibilities & Essential Functions (not all inclusive):

• Perform compliance testing and/or inspections at petroleum fueling locations
• Meet due dates noted in the work orders for the compliance work
• Complete all required local, state, or federal paperwork promptly and professionally
• Follow customer protocols and procedures, including the customer’s safety and housekeeping guidelines
• Maintain inventory levels to achieve an acceptable first-time fix rate
• Self-motivate, self-start, and manage time effectively to meet critical deadlines
• Work independently without constant direct supervision and function effectively as part of a team
• Properly use standard hand tools and job-specific equipment

Requirements:

• A mechanical background along with a history of working with hand tools, experience in trades, and/or experience in any industrial/commercial settings
• Ability to lift 10-50lbs as well as frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing
• Must be capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment
• Ability to work independently and communicate well
• Ability to learn and utilize computer applications, smartphones, and ticketing systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask
• Knowledge of applicable laws, safety, and technical protocols is a plus
• Basic knowledge of technology – tablet/phone/computer – for documentation
