Job summary

Draper Labs in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Environmental Test Technician to support environmental testing in a dynamic laboratory. The role involves calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting facility equipment, plus documenting procedures and data.

The candidate will primarily work in Cambridge with occasional support in Bedford, and may require evening or weekend shifts. Requirements include 2 years of technical education/experience, strong communication, and familiarity with hand/power

Qualifications

Graduate from a 2 year technical school or 2 years applicable experience.
Two years of applicable education and two years of applicable experience or four years of applicable experience meets the minimum requirement.
Experience supporting electro-mechanical systems and complex integration and test activities with 2+ years of experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.
Must be experienced and skilled in the use of hand and power tools; must possess strength and dexterity.

Responsibilities

Performs cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment with limited supervision.
Operates complex equipment in the production of hardware with training and limited supervision.
Documents their work consistent with work unit policy with limited supervision.
Performs focused training to enable progression into higher skilled positions.
Other temporary assignments at the discretion of the supervisor.
Coordinate and implement technical documentation (calibration, preventive maintenance, drawings, procedures).
