Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Test Equipment Engineer for the Space Simulation Lab. You will ensure automated production test racks stay calibrated and fully operational, coordinating preventive maintenance and calibration tasks with engineering teams.

You will manage spare racks, perform troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and software domains, and drive RCCA actions to minimize downtime in a high-rel reliability environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years in hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance, or hands-on engineering environment.
• 2+ years testing, troubleshooting, and debugging automated test systems including electrical, mechanical, electronic, and software systems.
• 2+ years of production test station (automated test equipment) hardware maintenance and factory support.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive maintenance across test rack populations with production calendars.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve test automation hardware supporting production testing.
• Organize and track rack calibration activities with traceability and ISO/IEC 17025 alignment.
• Maintain equipment records, configuration status, and maintenance history in CMMS.
• Oversee readiness of spare test racks for rapid swap-in when needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, or software problems with cross-functional teams.
• Perform RCCA analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor test harness requirements and inventory for spare coverage.
• Track KPIs and report status to leadership.
• Develop calibration procedures and SOPs for RF test equipment.
