Tetra Tech is seeking an environmental air sampling assistant to support field operations in the Jacksonville, Florida area. Responsibilities include daily sample collection, documentation, and transporting samples to a designated laboratory.
The role requires standing in an early 4-hour morning shift, 4:30 am to 8:30 am, with on-call duties 365 days a year. Training will cover standard operating procedures and equipment maintenance.
Provide environmental air sampling support throughout the Jacksonville, Florida area and collect particulate samples from sites located around the city. Daily routine includes sample collection, documentation, and transporting samples to a designated laboratory. The candidate will receive training in standard operating procedures and air sample equipment mechanical maintenance. Sample collection is performed every day of the year, 365 days, including weekends and holidays, during an early morning 4‑hour shift from 4:30 am to 8:30 am. The candidate will be on‑call 365 days a year except when approved days off are given. While on‑call the candidate is compensated for 2 hours, or for the actual number of hours worked when called into the field. Additional monthly group meetings and training sessions are scheduled with advanced notice and may take place remotely or in person during normal business hours. The position may also support other projects or tasks related to other contracts.
