Job summary
Veolia North America is seeking an Environmental Technician II at its Richardson, TX site to join the hazardous waste and environmental services team. This role focuses on knowing the location and treatment for inbound waste streams, operating onsite equipment, and completing required paperwork.
Qualified candidates have 2+ years of hazmat experience, ability to operate forklifts, PPE, English literacy, and willingness to work in all weather.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials.
- Ability to operate equipment including a forklift.
- Must be able to wear PPE (eye protection, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek, respirator).
- Read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Complete required paperwork in accordance with practices and procedures.
- Collect samples of inbound waste for compatibility.
- Unload bulk liquid trucks to proper tank.
- Resolve and report issues with inbound loads.
- Operate hi-lo and end loaders safely.
- Know waste streams and their treatment protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
