Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a field‑level technician to provide transportation and disposal services for hazardous waste. You will sample waste streams, manage manifests and coordinate shipments, while adhering to federal and state regulations and maintaining strong client relations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus certifications such as HazWoper and a valid driver’s license, with CDL endorsement preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must manage time effectively to meet multiple deadlines.
• Customer service orientation and computer proficiency expected.
• Ability to follow through on assignments in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to policies and procedures.
• Manifest, package, spill cleanup and coordinate transportation.
• Maintain professional image with clients and offer solutions.
• Comply with DOT/EPA and company safety policies.
• Familiarize with regulations for hazardous waste paperwork.
• Operate and maintain equipment efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
