ASTI Environmental, a division of PEA Group, is seeking a full-time Environmental Technician with 3–6 years of experience, including asbestos inspection work. The role involves asbestos and lead inspections, hazards surveys, and field sampling across commercial, industrial, and residential sites.

Applicants should hold current Asbestos Inspector License and HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certifications, with strong writing, communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform NESHAP asbestos inspections and sampling in various buildings.
• Lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments in residential and non-residential properties.
• Conduct lead surveys and exposure assessments in diverse settings.
• Assist with Hazardous Materials & Universal Waste surveys.
• Assist with Radon testing and mold/IAQ evaluations.
• Operate sampling equipment and direct-reading instruments on-site.
• Manage data and prepare technical reports per regulatory guidelines.
• Interface with clients on jobsites and supervise subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local regulations.
• May perform soil, groundwater, or remediation tasks.
• Oversee abatement oversight and on-site analysis.

ASTI Environmental has an opening for a full-time, skilled, detail-oriented, well-organized Environmental Technician. We are looking for candidates with 3 to 6 years’ experience, including asbestos inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete NESHAP asbestos inspections and other sampling of asbestos-containing materials in vacant and occupied commercial, industrial and residential buildings
• Complete lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments in vacant and occupied residential buildings, including the collection of paint chips, surface dust and soil samples
• Complete lead surveys and personal exposure assessments in vario us settings
• Assist with Hazardous Materials & Universal Waste Surveys
• Assist with Lead-in-Drinking Water sampling
• Assist with Radon testing
• Assist with mold and/or indoor air quality evaluations including the collection of air, bulk and swab samples for mold
• Independently operate sampling equipment and direct reading instruments
• Environmental data management and analysis
• Prepare standard technical reports following regulatory guidance and company procedures
• Interface with clients on jobsites
• Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines, along with EPA, OSHA, and local regulations
• Oversee subcontractors
• Perform abatement oversight, air monitoring and on-site microscopic analysis utilizing NIOSH 582 methods
• May perform soil, groundwater, stormwater, or soil gas sampling
• May perform complex field sampling, remediation or O&M tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma required
• Current Asbestos Inspector License and HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certifications required
• Current Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor License preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Proven writing and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with field and laboratory QA/QC procedures, chain-of-custody protocols, and data management practices
