Job summary

Kinsley Construction seeks a full-time Environmental Technician to join our crew. You will assist operators, install stabilization matting, seeding, strawing, hydroseeding, and plant trees and shrubs on projects across the Mid-Atlantic.

The role requires outdoor work in various weather, reading blueprints, and strict adherence to safety rules. Prior landscaping or labor experience is preferred; candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeships is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including prolonged standing on varied terrains for up to 10+ hours.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, and carry a minimum of 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Transports and installs stabilization matting across diverse terrain, including wetlands and slopes.
• Seeding, strawing and hydroseeding for erosion control.
• Planting trees and shrubs and maintaining site vegetation.
• Interprets blueprints and project plans for jobsite layout.
• Operates power tools and equipment safely to perform install and landscape tasks.
• Maintains clean tools and a safe working environment on site.
• Adheres to all site safety rules and instructions from Foreman.

Summary Of Position

We are looking for a full-time, hard-working, and responsible individual to join our Environmental Technician Crew. In this position you will be responsible for assisting operators, installing stabilization matting, seeding, strawing, hydroseeding, planting trees, shrubs, and bio engineering materials.

Successful candidates should be physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in a mix of weather conditions.

Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.

Typical Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Transports and installs large rolls of stabilization matting in all types of terrain and soil -including wetlands, hill slopes and stream banks.
• Responsible for seeding, strawing and hydroseeding.
• Efficiently transports and plants trees and shrubs.
• Interprets and reads blueprints, project plans and other specifications for jobsite layout.
• Safely operates power tools and large equipment to dig, load and unload trees/plants.
• Ensures equipment and tools are clean and stored away properly.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment while following all construction site safety rules and procedures.
• Follows all project instructions from Foreman.

Requirements

• Has prior landscaping, labor, and supervisory experience.
• High School or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeships is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrainsfor up to 10+ hours.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting necessary deadlines.
• Must be able to physically stand, bend, squat, and carry at a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Must follow all company rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
