Triumvirate Environmental is seeking an Environmental Technician to support Lab & Onsite Support Services at a client location in Germantown, WI. You will manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, assist in lab pack projects, and ensure regulatory compliance under the supervision of the onsite Program Manager.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, strong communication skills, a valid US driver’s license, and willingness to pass background, drug screening, and random testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience or relevant military experience.
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and implement strategies to achieve positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical hazardous and non-hazardous containerized waste pick-ups and material movement from production areas and laboratories as well as assist the Program Manager with the segregation and packing of chemicals by hazard class during lab pack projects
• Conduct routine inventories of site waste accumulation areas
• Become proficient in bulk Tanker loading from Hazardous Waste tanks in tank farm
• Preparation of chemical and biological waste for shipment and disposal, including assisting the Program Manager with creation of all federal/state waste documents and managing the paperwork for the material
• Safe handling of hazardous waste containers on client sites, as well as loading/unloading of waste from vehicles
• Conduct chemical consolidations in central accumulation areas and production areas in required levels of PPE
• Properly maintain PPE as required by each work environment
• Prepare and label containers according to regulatory requirements and company policies
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: WOW by providing outstanding support and innovative solutions to our clients
• Develop knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements to meet client compliance
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies regarding waste management
• Develop understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety practices
• Support onsite Program Manager with other tasks to ensure safe and compliant operations

Responsibilities:

• Properly maintain and don the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required by each unique work environment encountered

• Develop strong working knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements ensuring our client’s compliance needs are met (e.g RCRA, DOT, and OSHA)
• Coordinate and communicate effectively and professionally with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies regarding waste management processes
• Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations as well as Triumvirate’s Health and Safety practices
• Support onsite Program Manager with various other tasks as needed to ensure a safe and compliant operating program

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience or relevant military experience
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional exchanges of information
• Must be able to maintain good attendance and punctuality
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and implement strategies to achieve positive outcomes
• Skilled in building strong, positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
• Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
• The Environmental Technician frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive
• Valid US driver’s license
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis

Preferred Requirements:

• Prior successful experience in a customer service role
• Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification
• Willingness to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Ability to work non-routine shifts (Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat)
