Job summary

DBS&A, a subsidiary of Geo-Logic Associates, seeks a motivated technician for soil, water, and air sampling, site investigation, and remediation system support in the Lubbock, TX area.

You will work under a Project Manager on diverse environmental projects, with extensive travel and opportunity for professional growth within a collaborative team. OSHA HAZWOPER certification and strong communication skills are preferred.

Are you a highly motivated and skilled technician seeking challenging projects, career advancement, employee ownership, and a great place to work? DBS&A is seeking a qualified and motivated technician to join our diverse technical team in our Lubbock, Texas office. You will tackle a wide range of clients’ challenges related to contaminated sites, including site investigation/assessment; groundwater sampling; and design, construction, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade of remediation systems.

DBS&A is a water resources, engineering, and environmental consulting firm providing comprehensive services in groundwater and surface water hydrology and soil science. More about this opportunity on a day-to-day basis

Your average workday will consist of a wide variety of activities working under the direct supervision of a Project Manager (Professional Geologist and/or Professional Engineer) on environmental projects, including:

• Performing site investigation/assessment tasks at leaking petroleum storage tank (LPST) and/or Superfund sites in Texas, New Mexico, or other parts of the western U.S.
• Operating, troubleshooting, and repair of remediation systems/components
• Collecting water, soil, and air samples
• Providing construction oversight
• Managing subcontractors on-site
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Undergo a pre-employment physical.
• Possess and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer.

This position may require extensive travel, including possible evenings, weekends, and holidays, and requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work in adverse weather conditions. Position level and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
