Job summary

Sustainment & Restoration Services (SRS) is hiring a Mid-Level Geologist, Engineer, or Environmental Scientist focused on Technical Writing to support restoration projects at Edwards Air Force Base in California.

The successful candidate will lead writing for regulatory documents, coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, and apply CERCLA/RCRA knowledge to ensure compliance and quality in deliverables. Hybrid/remote options may be available depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Science with 7–10+ years’ experience.
• Experience editing CERCLA and/or RCRA technical documents and regulatory deliverables.
• Strong writing, organization, and document management skills; ability to develop deliverables with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of high-quality technical and regulatory documents for CERCLA/RCRA projects.
• Serve as principal author for complex environmental documents.
• Coordinate document development across multidisciplinary teams for cohesive deliverables.
• Support USACE districts, EPA regions, and DoD projects with document requirements.
• Manage document production schedules, reviews, and final deliverables for regulatory compliance.
• Review field data, historical reports, permits, and investigations to support strategy and evaluations.
• Assist with fieldwork prep and subcontractor coordination.
• Provide detailed technical and editorial review of proposals and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to support execution and client communication.
